Julian Assange: ‘Facebook Is The Most Appalling Spy Machine That Has Ever Been Invented’

In this candid interview, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange talks about Facebook being ‘The Most Appalling Spy Machine That Has Ever Been Invented’ and points out that the social network along with other services like google and yahoo are building comprehensive databases that contain your personal info. All your details such as names, addresses locations and conversations with friends and family are being kept on record and can be freely used by U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies without a complicated subpoena process.

Assange also goes into detail about his thoughts on the middle east, Guantanamo, the ongoing extradition cases he is currently facing with Sweden and the U.S. and how ignorance is our biggest enemy.

Over the years we’ve been getting accustomed to less and less privacy but just how easy are we making it to be spied on? Probably too easy.
