Dream World: A Documentary On Free Running

You’ve seen it in the chase scenes of movies like District 13, Casino Royale and Ong Bak, Free running [also known as Parkour] is a combination of stunts and acrobatic body movements where the person uses their environment and athletic ability in a type of freestyle street motion meets physical art, scaling objects like ledges, walls, crevices, corners for creating unique choreography of movement. Think skateboarding without the board.

This short documentary focuses on Jason Paul, one of the leaders of free running and features footage from the recent Art of Motion Competition that took place in the UK March 20, 2011.

Some really some next level stuff being showcased here in this piece by Frank Sauer and nice camera work as well. We’ll see if free running makes it to the X-Games soon….you’ve got our vote!
