Spinachprince is a trio of producers headed up by main composer Elliot Ross on synths, piano and guitar, alongside Thomas Faulds on machines and Charles Gorczynski on woodwinds.
With a different take on bass music and sound-design, stemming from deep within the avant-garde jazz, chamber, and electronic music scenes in Chicago and Oakland. As Spinachprince, the three make visceral, heady music… future-driven, plotted, violent.
On ‘Executive’ they merge electronica and acoustics by adding woodwinds, keys and guitar to their machines, rendering a mechanical and cinematic sound offering their own and instantly recognizable brand of bass music.
This EP is the first in a series and it comes across as a future new jazz inspired classic that you’ll be glad to play now as well as find as a timeless, welcome surprise years later on your player.
