Music Hack Day NYC Winners & Pics

Music Hack Day made its debut in NYC this past weekend to a enthusiastic crowd at the newly opened co-working space General Assembly. The object of the 48 hour hackathon was to code and finish a music related app within the timeframe.

The Grand Prize winner was Invisible Instruments by Tim Soo. His hack combined an iPod Touch and a Wii remote to enable the playing of invisible instruments. Tim used a combo of Tuning Fork Gyroscope [Wiimote], TouchOSC, Max/MSP/Jitter & OSCulator to make it work.

[NYC] Feb. 12-13: Music Hack Day

Music Hack Day finally makes its debut in the big apple! A marathon weekend session where developers, designers and music geeks get together for a 24-48 hour session of hacking with lots of redbull, coffee and pizza. The objective? To collaborate, conceptualize and complete a music related app within the alloted time frame. The end result, music apps of the future!
